Do it Best ADbuilder: Price Cards

Do it Best is currently using ADbuilder price cards. I have from time to time needed to print some sale cards, either some from a Do it Best promotion like the PB February promotion, or for our own in house Paint promotion.

This routine makes printing these price cards a snap!

Do it Best ADbuilder Price Card

The Do it Best ADbuilder Price Card form works and looks much like the Pricing Policy form.    We have the Promotions in the top of the screen (1) and the detail in the lower part (2). When you select a Promotion in the top all the items that are in that promotion are displayed in the "Promo Items" grid.

To set up a new Promo so we can print cards, click the Add/Edit Promo tab, then click the <Add> button (1). Enter a Name for the for the Promo (2). Now you need to select the Prices Source, Card Size, Header Source, and the Extra Fields (that will be printed on the bottom of the price card). When all done, just press the <Save> button (3).

After giving the Promo a name, you define it in the following 4 group boxes.

1) Promo Price Sources:  Normally you will have a Promotion already set up in RockSolid POS® and all you need to do is select the Promo by name in the drop down. But, sometimes you may have an "in store" promotion and you just need to print some cards. If you do, select "**** Custom ****" from the drop down, and you will be able to enter the sale price manually.

2) Card Size:  You have two choices in card size; 6 per page (DIB SKU 990770) and 2 per page (DIB SKU 990761).

3) Header Source:  When printing price cards you can have the Promo use the Headers you define or the DIB item Description.

4) Print Extra Fields:  If you want either the Unit of Measure, or the DIB SKU on the bottom of the Price Card, check the appropriate box.

After the Promo is set up, it is time to start adding items. Click the Add/Edit Items tab and click the <Add> button. Next enter a SKU (1), and because we have defined this Promo as using Header Lines, enter the data you want printed on each line (2).

My Paint Promo pulls prices from the "Keith's Hardware Paint Sale" Promotion that I have set up in RockSolid POS®, so the Sale Price (3) is automatically filled in when we entered the SKU.

All done, now lets print those price cards! Load the Do it Best ADbuilder cards in your printer and click the "Print Promo" tab.

Make sure you select the correct Promo (1), then you have two options: Print them all (2), or Print just the Selected Items (3). To select items, hold down the <Ctrl> key and click the rows of the items in the "Browse Items" grid (4).
